The disputed dialogue saying 'Sita is the daughter of India' has been removed from the South Indian film 'Adipurush'.

The mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Shah (Balen), on Thursday, had warned that no Hindi film including the said film would be shown in the metropolis unless the dialogue was removed.

Following his warning, the producer removed the dialogue "Sita's daughter" from the film "Adipurush", according to the Indian newspaper Times of India.

In the trailer of the South Indian film Adipurush, Sita is called the daughter of India. According to the Ramayana, a Sanskrit epic, Sita was born in Janakpur, Nepal and Lord Rama came and married her.

It remains to be seen whether the film has other such flaws.

The film stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Sunny Singh as Laxman. Saif Ali Khan plays the role of Ravana.
