West Indies set a mammoth 340-run target for Nepal at the group stage match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier held at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, West Indies notched up 339 runs losing seven wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Shai Hope topped the score with 132 runs studded with 10 fours and three sixes off 129 balls. Similarly, Nicholas Pooran hit 115 runs including 10 fours and four sixes off 94 deliveries while Rovman Powell contributed 29 runs.
In reply, Nepal’s Lalit Rajbanshi claimed the highest three wickets conceding 52 runs while Karan KC, Gulsan Jha, Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee grabbed one wicket each.
