The Nepali National Women's Football Team has returned home after winning two friendly matches in Bangladesh.
Nepal defeated the home team 4-2 in a tiebreaker in the second friendly match and landed at the Tribhuvan Airport afternoon with the trophy on Monday.
After the match held at Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Sipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalpur, Dhaka ended in a goalless draw, the tournament went directly for the tiebreaker.
Sabitra Bhandari, Hira Bhujel, Deepa Shahi, Anita KC hit the net in the tiebreaker.
With this, Nepal has won the two match series in its favor. By defeating Bangladesh at its home ground, Nepal has also avenged the loss suffered in the SAFF final. Nepal and Bangladesh drew 1-1 in the first friendly match.
On September 19, 2022, Nepal lost 3-1 to Bangladesh in the final of the SAFF Championship held at Dasharath Stadium.
