After the recovery of 100 kilograms of gold brought by air on Wednesday, the team of the Revenue Investigation Department has intensified its investigation.

A team of the Department of Revenue Investigation seized about one quintal of gold on yesterday while it was being taken to Sinamangal in a taxi after customs clearance.

Sources claimed that the amount of gold was kept at airport customs for five days and taken out on Wednesday.

The gold was recovered while it was being taken to the destination on Wednesday.

After a quintal of gold was seized, the Revenue Investigation Department is set to carry out another raid at the Airport Customs on Thursday.

The team of the department has now reached the airport following information that some more illegal gold smuggled from various routes including Hong Kong is still at the TIA.
