Chhakka Panja 4 tops box office with Rs 175.2 mln followed by Jaari with Rs 171.7 mln

Film Development Board, Nepal released a box office collection report of the last fiscal year 2079/80.

According to the 'Movie Code' provided by the Board, the gross box office collection report of Nepali and foreign films screened in Nepal has been published.

Along with the collection, the details including the date of performance and the number of ticket sales have also been released.

According to the decision of the Film Development Board, the report has been published.

In the last fiscal year, 57 indigenous films were released in Nepal. National films sold 2 million 716 thousand 217 tickets.  

With this, Nepali movies have managed to make a total gross business of 767 million 257 thousand 001 rupees.

According to the Board, Chhakka Panja 4, produced by Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula, managed to collect Rs 175 million 299 thousand 159 in the last financial year. Chhakka Panja 4 sold 629 thousand 750 tickets.

Similarly, Jaari starring Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar, which is still on display, has managed to earn 171 million 709 thousand 518 rupees.

Similarly, Pradeep Khadka starrer Prem Geet 3 has managed to earn 77 million 35 thousand 558 rupees achieving the third sport. This movie, which was also screened in India, managed to sell 2 million 698 thousand 8 tickets all over Nepal. 

In the last fiscal year, 78 foreign films were screened in Nepal. By selling 2 million 585 thousand 602 tickets of these movies, they have managed to make a gross business of 794 million 434 thousand 748 rupees.

The development board has put the box collection report of two Nepali films -- Bagan and Jaari --, currently being screened, up to July 16.

Similarly, two foreign movies Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Resident Evil: Death Island have been reported till July 16, the last day of the fiscal year.
