Domestic and international flights have been affected due to incessant rains occurring since Saturday night.
According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), some flights have been diverted and some have been canceled due to poor visibility induced by incessant rains.
Pratap Babu Tiwari, the general manager of the TIA, informed that air flights were affected due to low visibility caused by incessant rains.
According to Tiwari, the Air India flight bound for Kathmandu from New Delhi has been diverted to Banaras, while the Air China and Sichuan Airlines flights bound for Kathmandu from Tianfu, China have returned to Tianfu itself. He informed that other international flights are also hit.
According to the airport, Pokhara and Surkhet airports have remained shut and that the Kathmandu-Tumlingtar air flight has been canceled.
According to the airport, three flights of Buddha Air from Kathmandu to Pokhara and one flight of Buddha Air from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar flight have been canceled.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, rains are expected to continue across the country till Tuesday.
