Ra'anana make flying start as Samba scores debut goal

Sabitra Bhandari, popularly known as Samba, scored a goal in the debut match of the Israeli club Hapoel Ra'anana.

Samba, who plays as a forward for the Nepal women's national football team and APF FC, scored a goal for Ra'anana's win in the second edition of the Athena Cup.

In the Wednesday night match, Ra'anana made a flying start by defeating Hadera by 2-0. Mid-fielder Adi Golden and Samba scored a goal apiece for Ra'anana.

Samba created history by making her debut for Ra'anana in the European competition.

Ra'anana will begin their league journey in the top division in two weeks.

A total of eight teams are competing in the Athena Cup in the top division league. Samba reached there about two weeks ago to play in the Israeli league.
