The national cricket team participating in the ongoing 19th Asian Games (Asiad) in Hangzhou, China, has been bidden farewell.
The newly elected body of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), the cricket governing body of Nepal, bid farewell to the national cricket team that will leave for China today to participate in the Asian Games.
The Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, were officially inaugurated by Chinese President Xi Jinping yesterday (Saturday).
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda also participated in the opening ceremony. He is currently visiting China.
Although the official opening was held yesterday, the Asiad games have been going on since September 19.
As many as 253 players from Nepal are participating in the Asian Games for 29 games so far.
