Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has flown to China to participate in the Asian Games.
He flew to China along with another cricketer, Sagar Dhakal, a replacement for injured Lalit Rajbanshi.
After discussions with the President of Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) Chatur Bahadur Chand and Secretary Paras Khadka, who is also the former captain, Sandeep expressed readiness to play Asiad underway in Hangzhou, China.
Sagar Dhakal, who was called to the national team after Lalit sustained injuries during training, is also representing the country in the Asiad.
The Nepali national cricket team flew to China on Sunday. Lamichhane, who was accused of rape, could not go with the team because his case was scheduled for hearing on the same day.
However, Kathmandu District Court adjourned the hearing of the case citing lack of judges, paving the way for Sandeep to go to China.
