The Nepali national cricket team has returned home on Thursday after participating in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
The team arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport at 11:30 am. Officials of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) welcomed the returning team.
The Nepali team reached the quarter-finals in men's cricket of Asiad. After losing to India by a narrow margin of 23 runs, Nepal crashed out of Asiad.
Nepal defeated Mongolia by 273 runs and Maldives by 138 runs in the group stage match.
This year Nepali team got good exposure. Earlier, Nepal also performed well in the Asia Cup held in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
For the first time in the group stage, Nepal faced Pakistan, the world's top ranked team, and India, which is ranked third.
In the first match, Nepal lost to Pakistan by 238 runs and in the second match to India by 10 wickets based on D/L rules.
