CAVA Volleyball Challenge Cup: Nepal loses to Saudi Arabia

Nepal suffered its second defeat in the CAVA Volleyball Challenge Cup held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Nepal lost 3-2 to Saudi Arabia in the match at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium held on Friday. Nepal won two matches and lost two in the league stage. Nepal will face Uzbekistan in the last match of the round robin format.

After losing the first set 25-22, Nepal won the second set 25-21. After losing the third set 25-23, Nepal managed to win the competitive fourth set 27-25.

The final and fifth competitive set was lost by 16-14. In the first match, Nepal defeated Bangladesh by a set of 3-1. In the second match, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in straight sets and in the third match, Nepal defeated Afghanistan in a set of 3-2.
