Ghatasthapana has been observed at the auspicious time with vedic rituals at Hanuman Dhoka in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The priest of Hanuman Dhoka Durbar sowed maize and barley seeds in the pots filled with soil at Dashain Ghar at 11:29 am amidst mangal dhun (holy background music) and the rounds of salvos fired by a squad of the Nepali Army.

A tradition has it that sacrifices are offered every single day with vidic rituals dedicated to Hindu goddess Nawadurga at Dashain Ghar following Gatasthasthapana.
