Nepal receives highest number of tourists in October after Covid-19

Nepal has received the highest number of tourists in the month of October after Covid-19. More tourists have arrived in the Himalayan nation now than in October 2019.

According to the Department of Immigration, 117,000 tourists entered in October by air. Last year only 52 thousand 121 tourists entered.

Mani Raj Lamichhane, the spokesperson for the Nepal Tourism Board, informed that the highest number of tourists have entered in October. Before Covid-19, 110,000 tourists had arrived in 2019.

According to the data maintained by the NTB, India topped the tally with 18,480 tourists followed by America with 14, 879 and Britain with 8, 219 tourists.

Similarly, 6,880 tourists arrived from China, 6,075 from Australia, 5,916 from Germany, 5,271 from France and 4,292 from Bangladesh.

In the month of October, most tourists came for trekking along with mountain climbing.
