Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Dr. Swarnim Wagle has been nominated as the Vice President.

A central committee meeting of the party held at Jaleshwar in Mahottari on Wednesday inducted him as the vice President of the party.

Similarly, a party secretariat has also been formed in line with the party statute and the new organizational structure, Spokesperson Dr. Mukul Dhakal said.

Wagle was nominated, earlier in the day, as a central committee member by the party.

Wagle is ranked third in seniority after President Rabi Lamichhane and Vice President DP Aryal. He was placed third in ranking in the Central Secretariat formed today.

Wagle was previously affiliated with the Nepali Congress. After being denied a ticket in the last federal elections, he defected to RSP. He was elected to the House of Representatives through the by-elections held in Tanahu-1 in last April.
