Rohto Mentholatum Nepal Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Japan, produces pharmaceutical, cosmetic and health care products.  

Established in 1899, Rohto, a multi-national corporation, is currently operating its businesses in Asia, America, Europe and Africa. Rohto’s products are available in 120 countries and loved by millions of customers across the world.

In Nepal, Rohto-Mentholatum Nepal was established in 2018 and is currently manufacturing the skin care and cosmetic products like face wash, sunscreen, acnes treatment solutions, and so on.

Mentholatum Nepal has been continuously contributing to the upliftment of people and society of Nepal.

 “The Rohto group aims to support society, and maintain global health for the future,” the company said in a press release issued today.

With children being the future of the society, country or world as a whole, Rohto has been focusing on the child welfare and upliftment of the lives of the vulnerable people.

On September 24, 2022, Rohto extended support for the establishment of a community library, “Junbesi Community Library and Research Center” at Junbesi in Solududhkunda municipality, Solukhumbu of Province-1.

The project aims to improve the quality of the community library. The library is not limited to books but is equipped with ICT facilities including computer, internet and comfortable furniture.

The Community Library has various section like main library section, children section, women section, IT section, youth section, training hall accommodating 800 readers both children and adult in the community.

This project is being run in association with Shanti Volunteer Association (SVA), an International non-governmental organization from Japan, the Government of Japan and other generous donors.

This Community Library was handed over to the local management amidst a special program in Junbesi on September 24, 2022.

The program was attended by a local parliamentarian, mayor of Solududhkunda municipality, representatives of the donors, children and local people.
