Sudurpaschim Province has crashed out of the Prime Minister’s Cup Women T20 underway in Kathmandu.
Sudurpaschim crashed out after it lost to Koshi Province by a whopping margin of 9 wickets in the second qualifier held today.
In the previous edition of the Prime Minister’s Cup Women T20, Sudurpschim had bagged the title by defeating Koshi.
Koshi will now face APF on Wednesday for the title. Koshi had lost to APF by 52 runs in the first qualifier.
Chasing the 89-run target set by Sudurpaschim, Koshi reached it in 13 overs losing 1 wicket.
Kajal Shrestha topped the score with 38 runs including 7 fours off 35 balls while captain Rubina Chhetri made 37 runs including 7 fours and 1 six off 23 balls. Similarly, Apsara Begam made 12 runs.
On the bowling side, Laxmi Saud grabbed 1 wicket for Sudurpaschim.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Sudurpaschim notched up 88 runs losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Samjhana Khadka topped the score with 25 runs followed by Bindu Rawal 17 while Kabita Dhami contributed 15 runs.
In reply, Sangita took 2 wickets while Sabnam Rai, Nashi Shah and Alisha Khadiya grabbed one wicket each.
