Three more Nepalis die in Russia-Ukraine war

Three more Nepali nationals serving in the Russian Army have died in the war against Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hari Aryal of Syangja with passport number 07573728, Rajkumar Giri of Dhading with passport number 12299891 and Bharat Bahadur Shah of Kailali with passport number 11027175 have perished in the Russia-Ukraine war.

The news that Rajkumar and Bharat died was received on December 28 even though they passed away on December 3,  the Foreign Ministry source said. 

Hari Aryal, who went out of contact on November 29, is assumed to have died on the same day.

Originally from Walling Municipality-14, Syangja, Hari was previously serving in the Nepali Army. After working in the army for three years, he resigned from his post and joined the Russian Army.

Similarly, 36-year-old Bharat Shah of Tikapur Municipality-1, Kailali is a former police official. Bharat, who had been in the police service for 10 years, left the police service and went to Dubai for foreign employment three years ago.

After returning home from Dubai, he joined the Russian Army.
