A meeting of the four coalition parties held in Baluwatar on Wednesday discussed giving some seats to main opposition CPN (UML) in the National Assembly.
In the meeting called by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, discussions were held on including UML in the National Assembly, leaders have said.
Briefing the alliance meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda said that UML Chair Oli in a meeting held earlier asked him to allocate some seats to UML in the National Assembly.
"Oli has requested Prime Minister Prachanda not to nullify UML in the National Assembly", Unified Socialist Vice Chairman Rajendra Pandey said after the meeting, "The alliance will take a concrete decision on Oli’s proposal following discussions among the coalition parties."
Prachanda has also talked to Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba regarding the inclusion of UML in the National Assembly.
Oli had reached Baluwatar to discuss it with Prachanda and Deuba on Wednesday afternoon.
Pandey said that the alliance will give UML a seat in the National Assembly with some conditions.
Prime Minister Prachanda is making preparations to finalize the transitional justice process in agreement with UML.
UML has also asked Prachanda that the alliance should allocate a seat for it in the National Assembly. The ruling alliance will now meet at 9 am on Thursday in Baluwatar.
