Visiting Indian Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar, met Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday. Issues related to bilateral interest were discussed during the meeting, according to the NC party office.
Chief Secretary of NC party office, Krishna Prasad Paudel, informed that issues like strengthening two-country relations and promoting Indian assistance to Nepal's development featured in the meeting.
Similarly, visiting Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar paid a courtesy call on CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Thursday.
Issues relating to bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting, according to the chief of UML foreign department, Rajan Bhattarai.
Likewise, Jaishankar also paid a courtesy call on CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal and other leaders Upendra Yadav, Mahantha Thakur and CK Raut today.
Earlier, the visiting Indian minister had courtesy calls with President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
Jaishankar, who arrived on a two-day official visit to Nepal on Thursday, attended the Nepal-India joint commission meeting. He is returning home on Friday.
