Ruling coalition party CPN (Unified Socialist) has got two seats in the National Assembly elections.
With a few hours left before the deadline to file nominations for the NA elections, the Unified Socialist is making preparations to finalize the names of candidatures.
Party Spokesperson and Deputy General Secretary Jagannath Khatiwada told Nepalkhabar that the party decided to move ahead with the two seats and is making preparations, accordingly.
“We have entrusted three leaders to finalize the names of candidates,” said Khatiwada, “We are also holding discussions on the issue of clusters.”
Earlier, the Unified Socialist was demanding three seats. After being denied three seats, Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal was unhappy with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and left Baluwatar.
Khatiwada said (that) his party will make public the final list of candidates by Sunday evening.
The ruling coalition has distributed 19 NA seats. Nepali Congress has got 10 seats, Maoist Center 6, Unified Socialist 2 and Janata Samajbadi Party has got one seat, according to the agreement.
