RPP to host tea reception on Jan 12

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is to organize a greetings exchange and tea reception program at local Bhrikutimandap on January 12 on the occasion of the 302nd Prithvi Jayanti (birth anniversary) and National Unity Day.

RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said the President, the Prime Minister, leaders of various political parties, representatives of diplomatic missions, constitutional bodies and religious organizations, industrialists and businessmen, professionals, intellectuals, among others, have been invited to the program.

He stated that the President and the Prime Minister will attend the tea reception to be organized in honor of the builder of the nation, Prithvi Narayan Shah, who contributed to building modern Nepal by unifying various principalities. The party will also garland the statue of the late King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the unifier of the nation, at Singha Durbar.

The party's provincial and local units have also been urged to celebrate Push 27 (January 12) as the National Unity Day by organizing a variety of programs as seminars and interactions highlighting the late king's personality and history, tea reception and illumination.
