Resham Chaudhary has been appointed to the post of chairman of Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP).
Chaudhary was elected as the chairman through the general convention underway at Tikapur in Kailali.
Outgoing Chairman Ranjita Shrestha and Chaudhary were in the fray for the post of the party chairman.
Chaudhary was elected as the chairman unopposed after Ranjita did not file her candidacy for the post on time.
Even though Chaudhary was elected unopposed, the Election Commission has not made the election result public.
