Gandaki Province defeated Bagmati Province by three wickets in the One Day National Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.
Following a target of 199 runs set by Bagmati, Gandaki reached it in 49.3 overs by losing seven wickets.
Gandaki’s Karan Pangeni topped the score with 79 runs including six fours and three sixes off 98 balls followed by Ishwar Chhetri with 36 runs while Muskan Thapa contributed 27 runs.
On the bowling side, Pratish GC took two wickets while Rijan Dhakal, Surya Tamang and Bipin Acharya grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Bagmati was all out for 198 runs with five balls to spare.
Opener Ashutosh Ghimire scored 44 runs including five fours off 69 balls. Similarly, Ishan Pandey made 43 runs while Bipin Acharya contributed 38 runs.
In reply, Gandaki’s Kamal Pariyar took the highest four wickets including 1 maiden giving away 31 runs.
Bipin Chhetri and Amrit Gurung took 2 wickets each while Sandeep Parajuli grabbed one wicket for Gandaki.
In another match held at Sidhharthanagar in Bhairahawa today, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated APF Club by 4 wickets.
Chasing the 122 runs target set by APF, Army reached it in 23.3 overs losing six wickets.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, APF had been all out for 121 runs in 32.4 overs.
