Nepal is taking on Netherlands in the second match of the tri-series under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 today (Saturday).
The match will start at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur at 9:30 am.
Nepal suffered a 4-wicket defeat at the hands of Namibia. Nepali team's all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee who was out of the first match against Namibia is participating in today's match.
Airee was involved in the International League (IL) T20 underway in the UAE while the match against Namibia was underway in Kathmandu. He arrived in Kathmandu on Friday night and his comeback is expected to inject vibrancy into the team. On the other hand, Netherlands is eying the first victory against the opponent in the tri-series.

Nepal and Netherlands have met thrice in the ODI matches in the past. Of them, Nepal won one game and lost the other two matches.
Of the two ODI matches held in 2018, Nepal lost the first match by 55 runs and equalized the score in the nail-biting second match.
Nepal lost to Netherlands by 7 wickets in the World Cup Qualifier held in 2023.
