A man died and five others sustained injuries after a jeep carrying funeral attendees met with an accident in Baitadi on Thursday.
According to Police Inspector Nanda Raj Joshi of District Police Office, Baitadi, 50-year-old Gopal Bohara of Dilashaini Rural Municipality died in the accident.
Other five funeral attendees sustained injuries after an ill-fated jeep, Su. Pa. Pra. 01001 Cha 3146, turned turtle on the road. The injured are Ratan Dhami, Mandhir Dhami, Amar Dhami, Lokendra Dhami and Surendra Dhami. The injured were taken to Gokuleshwar Hospital after rescue for rescue.
Thirteen people were traveling in the jeep, according to Joshi.
Jeep driver Dhan Bahadur Kathayat of Dilashaini Rural Municipality is at large following the accident. Police are searching for him.
