Legendary Singer Bhakta Raj Acharya has passed away. He was 81.
Acharya breathed his last while being rushed to Mediciti Hospital, Lalitpuir, for treatment on Monday, informed musician Chetan Sapkota.
Acharya’s body will be kept at the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning for condolence.
Mutu Jalirahechha, Hajar Sapana Haruko, Jahan Chhan Buddhaka Aankha are some of his popular songs in the Nepali music.
Rferred to as Bhajan Shiromani, Acharya had lost his voice since December 4, 1989.
