Nepal inflicts 6-wicket defeat on Netherlands to enter final

Nepal entered the final by inflicting a 6-wicket defeat on Netherlands in the tri-nation T20 series held in Kirtipur on Saturday.

Chasing the 121-run target set by Netherlands, Nepal reached it in 15.1 overs losing four wickets.

Skipper Rohit Paudel topped the score with 46 runs including three fours and one six off 34 balls. Similarly, Gulsan Jha made 38 runs while Kushal Bhurtel contributed 12 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

In reply, Vivian Kingma claimed the highest three wickets while Aryan Dutt grabbed one wicket

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Netherlands notched up 120 runs losing all wickets in 19.3 overs. 

Max O'Dowd made the highest 31 runs with four fours and one six off 24 balls followed by Timm van der Gugten with 24 runs while Roelof van der Merwe contributed 23 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

On the bowling side, Pratis GC claimed the highest 3 wickets including one maiden over giving away 13 in four overs. Similarly, Karan KC and Kushal Malla grabbed two wickets each while Dipendra Singh Airee took one wicket.

With today's win, Nepal entered the final of the tri-nation T20 series.
