Nepal is locking horns with Netherlands for the title of the tri-nation T20 series today (Tuesday).
The match will start at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur at 11:30 am.
This is the second time Nepal is taking on Netherlands for the second time at the home ground in the T20I series.
Earlier in 2021, Nepal had trounced Netherlands by 142 runs in the T20I series held at the home ground.
The Dutch team was bowled out for 17.2 overs then while it was chasing the 239-run target set by Nepal.
Nepal wants to repeat the same history.
Netherlands is atop the points table with five points from four matches followed by Nepal with four points.
In the ongoing T20 tri-series, Nepal lost to Netherlands by two runs and registered a 6-wicket defeat against the Dutch team.
Similarly, Namibia, which collected three points, crashed out of its journey to the final of the ongoing T20 series.
Head-to-head
Nepal and Netherlands have a close head-to-head record in T20I matches, having met 11 times with 5 wins each and 1 match ending without a result.
However, looking at the most recent 5 encounters, Nepal appears to have the upper hand. They have secured 3 wins compared to Netherlands' 2 victories. This suggests a possible shift in momentum in Nepal's favor.
