Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, who is on an official visit to China, held a meeting with Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both the leaders assessed the state of bilateral relations and expressed commitment to work together to further elevate the ties between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The two leaders also emphasized on swift implementation of projects.
Foreign Minister Shrestha, who embarked on a nine-day official visit to China on Sunday at the invitation of Chinese counterpart Wang Yi held a meeting with Wang Huning, the central chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Standing Committee Member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee on Monday.
Shrestha will also hold meetings with secretaries of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan, Chongqing, and Tibet and visit Kailash Manasarovar during his China visit, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Minister Shrestha will return home on April 1.
