Ireland A has defeated Nepal by 21 runs in the 1st unofficial T20I cricket match held in Kirtipur on Friday.
Ireland A bowled Nepal out for 201 runs in 19.3 over while the latter was chasing the 223-run target.
Fionn Hand and Matthew Humphreys took three wickets each giving away 35 and 26 runs, respectively to restrict Nepal from reaching the target. Similarly, Matthew Foster grabbed two wickets while Thomas Mayes and Gavin Hoey claimed one wicket each for Ireland A.
While chasing the target, Lokesh Bam hit a century with 106 runs including nine fours and eight sixes off 56 deliveries followed by Aarif Sheikh with 49 runs including one four and five sixes off 26 balls. Binod Bhandari contributed 16 runs while the other batsmen could not reach double digit runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss on Friday, Ireland A notched up 222 runs losing five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Peter Moor topped the score with 49 runs including four fours and three sixes off 32 deliveries followed by skipper Neil Rock with 38 runs while Cade Carmichael and Stephen Doheny hit 38 and 34 runs, respectively.
Similarly, Gareth Delany and Gavin Hoey contributed 30 and 18 not out runs, respectively.
On the bowling side, Kamal Airee claimed three wickets giving away 21 runs while Sagar Dhakal and Aarif Sheikh grabbed one wicket each for Nepal.
