At least two people died and 10 others sustained injuries in a jeep accident in Kaski district on Sunday afternoon.
An ill-fated jeep, Ga 1 Ja 5547, heading to Bhadaure from Pokhara met with an accident at Bhadaure in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 in Kaski at 3 pm today, said the District Police Office, Kaski.
The injured in the accident are Dhanraj Sunar, 22, Arush BK, 7, Raj Kumar BK, 41, and Deumaya KC, 50, of Annapurna Rural Municipality-4.
Similarly, Laxmi Kami, 58, Pokhara-33, Kholakhet, Laxman Sunar, 50, of Karkitagara, Prakash Sunar, 33, Sobita Sunar, 14, and two-year-old Suprim Sunar of Annapurna-5, Salyan, have sustained injuries, said Police Inspector Surya Rana of the DPO, Kaski.
They have been rescued and taken to Manipal Hospital for treatment.
The jeep fell some 100 meters down the road at Thamdanda in Bhadaure, said Aaindal Gurung, the ward chair of Annapurna Rural Municipality-4.
