Time has come to take precautions against coronavirus and dengue again: Dr Pun

The cases of coronavirus and dengue have gone up in Kathmandu, of late.

The number of patients with symptoms of coronavirus is increasing at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku every single day.

 Dr. Sher Bahadur Pun, the coordinator of the Clinical Research Unit at the Hospital, said the time has come to take precaution against the infection of the coronavirus.

“Infection cases are increasing, of late,” said Dr Pun on Thursday morning, “People are advised to take all the necessary precautions including wearing mask, washing hands with soaps and social distancing.”

Similarly, the risk of dengue cases is also increasing with the mercury gradually rising.  

“Patients of dengue infection have not been admitted to our hospital, so far, but the infection cases are likely to increase with the change of season.”
