Adhyananda Pandey was elected chairman of Bara District Committee of the CPN (UML) by defeating another candidate in the voting.
Pandey got 377 votes while his contender Tina Subedi managed 343 votes in the election held on Saturday. Chief Election Officer Mohammad Rafique Miya said.
According to Miya, Bhulan Chaudhary was elected vice-chairman, Amrit Sharma Bajgain in the post of secretary and Jabahir Ansari as the joint-secretary. Bhawana Acharya was elected joint-secretary under the woman category.
