No further details of the damage have been received.”

"Since there is not much human settlement there, the flood may not have damaged people and animals," said SP Pathak. The details will be known after the on-site visit.

He said that Birendra Lake is a small shallow lake formed from the Manaslu Glacier.

Locals have said that the floods will mix up in the Budhigandaki River.
