Three youths killed in bike-Bolero collision in Jhapa identified

Three individuals who lost their lives in a vehicular collision at Shivasatakshi-8 in Jhapa on Wednesday morning have been identified.

Three young men were killed when a motorcycle, Me 3 Pa 5001 was hit by a Bolero jeep, Province 1-01-001 Cha 9329, at Shivasatakshi-8, Jhiljhile at 5:30 am today.

According to the police, the deceased are motorcyclist Mausam Rai, 25, of Kamal Rural Municipality-4, Jhapa, Yunis Bhandari, 20, of Kamal-4, and Saroj Regmi, 17, who were riding pillion.

SP Milan KC, District Police Office, Jhapa informed that the relatives of the deceased reached the hospital and identified them.

Two young men riding the motorcycle died on the spot and the other died in the course of treatment at B and C Hospital at Birtamod. The police said that the accident occurred while overtaking the vehicle on the road.

Their bodies have been kept at B and C Hospital in Birtamod for post-mortem.

The police said they have arrested Bolero driver 45-year-old Rishiraj Giri, resident of Mechinagar-6, Jhapa.
