Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, and Tibet autonomous region Vice Chairman Lang Fukuan have held a meeting on Tuesday.
Held at the ministry in Singha Durbar today, Industry Minister Bhandari said the relations between Nepal and Tibet are connected by mountains and rivers and existed beyond the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
In the meeting, Bhandari further said that Nepal has been cooperating with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for the benefits in its infrastructures, development and other inter-related sectors.
He also urged Vice Chairman Fukuan to ease access for Nepali products in the Chinese market, manage border points and facilitate the customs and quarantine process for Nepali exporters.
“If a lab is established by China at the major checkpoints, it will help ease access for Nepali goods in the Chines market,” said Bhandari.
In response, Chinese diplomat Vice Chairman Lang Fukuan said he will try to address the issues raised by Minister Bhandari and collaborate with the Nepal government for mutual benefits and prosperity.
Congratulating the Nepal government for successfully holding the Third Investment Summit, Fukuan said Chinese investors are willing to invest in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Fukuan expressed belief that the high-level visits made by the two countries recently will help bolster bilateral ties Nepal and China.
