The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been put off without entering business following the protest of lawmakers of major opposition Nepali Congress.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the meeting for May 14 after the NC lawmakers continued their protests.

Expressing his views at the first meeting of the fourth session under the HoR today, NC lawmaker Gagan Thapa vehemently stated that NC will not let the parliament run unless the parliamentary investigation committee is formed.

Thapa demanded the formation of the parliamentary probe committee to look into the embezzlement of deposits in cooperatives.

As the NC lawmakers continued obstruction, Speaker Ghimire postponed the meeting until May 14 6 pm.
