The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for today has been adjourned for Sunday.

Earlier, the HoR meeting which was called for 11 am today had been rescheduled for 2 pm following the protest of Nepali Congress.

According to the secretariat of Speaker Devraj Ghimire, the next meeting has been scheduled for 11 am on May 19.

Main opposition Nepali Congress has been disrupting the House meeting demanding the formation of a Parliamentary Investigation Committee to look into the alleged involvement of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane in the misappropriation of cooperatives’ fund.

NC had disrupted the House meeting shouting slogans yesterday. Following NC’s disruptions, Speaker Ghimire had postponed the meeting.

Top leaders of major political parties are holding meetings to break the House stalemate by addressing the demands of NC.
