Lamichhane is addressing the questions raised by main opposition Nepali Congress on the allegations leveled against him on the embezzlement of cooperatives’ funds.

Earlier, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held a meeting with chief whips of the ruling coalition prior to the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Convened at the federal parliament building in New Baneshwar a while ago, Prime Minister discussed ways to resume the parliament meetings with chief whips of CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Center), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), CPN (Unified Socialist), the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said.

“Nepali Congress will not disrupt while Home Minister Lamichhane will deliver his speech in the parliament,” said UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula, “There will be no other agendas in today’s HoR meeting."

Once the HoR meeting is over, the meeting of the task-force of the Parliamentary Investigation Committee will commence to finalize the the terms of reference (ToR).

The task-force members, which held a meeting to iron out the differences surrounding the ToR at Singha Durbar since 9 am today, had ended inclusively.
