The weather in the Kathmandu Valley is fully cloudy and it is raining in some parts of the Kathmandu Valley since early morning today.
The commuters are seen using umbrellas and raincoats to protect themselves from the rains.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), 13 millimeters of rainfall has been recorded in the last one hour. "It is raining in many places including Shivapuri, and Suryabinayak in the Kathmandu Valley," said the Division.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in the Kathmandu Valley today.
The rainfall below 10 millimeters of rain is called light rain and the amount of rainfall below 50 millimetres of rain is called moderate.
"The weather is likely to remain cloudy in the Kathmandu Valley throughout the day today," said Min Kumar Aryal, a meteorologist, "The weather might clear towards the afternoon for some time but will go cloudy again."
