A youth has been killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Gwarko in Lalitpur on Wednesday night.
According to SP Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson of Lalitpur Police Range, 32-year-old Jayanath Yadav died after being struck by a vehicle at Lalitpur Metropolitan City-17.
The accident occurred at around 10 pm after the vehicle struck a motorcycle that Yadav was driving. Critically injured Yadav of Siraha, currently staying at Koteshwar, who was rushed to B and B Hospital, breathed his last in the course of treatment at 11 pm yesterday, informed SP Subedi.
The vehicle that hit the motorcycle is absconding. Police said they are searching the vehicle based on a CCTV footage.
The body of Yadav is still at B and B hospital.
