Most Baglung schools have access to internet

All the schools in Tamankhola rural municipality of Baglung district have been equipped with internet facilities.

Teaching-learning activities are conducted with modern technologies in basic and secondary schools in this local unit.

There are three secondary schools –Dhan Gau Jyoti Secondary School ward No. 3, Shanti Secondary School in ward No. 5 and Janajagriti Secondary School in ward No. 1 which are equipped with internet facilities.

Dhan Gau Jyoti, Janajagriti and Shanti Secondary schools have been equipped with internet facilities, informed Joklal Budhamagar, the chairman of rural municipality.

Budhamagar said the internet facilities will be extended to the other schools gradually. The availability of the internet will make the education technology-friendly.

The internet facility will make the teaching-learning activities more effective, said Bhabindra Pun, the principal of Janajyoti Basic School.

There are a total of 24 schools, of which three are secondary schools, nine basic, and 12 are primary schools.

“With the internet facilities, it has been easier to learn computer, acquire new skills and knowledge,” said Rohit Budhamagar, a tenth grader.
