Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided not to give the vote of confidence to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

A meeting of the Parliamentary Party of RSP held in Singha Durbar issued a whip to this effect, an RSP lawmaker told Nepalkhabar.

RSP has 21 Members of Parliament including the deputy speaker. Prime Minister Oli is taking the vote of confidence in the parliament at 1 pm today.

UML Parliamentary Party leader Oli was appointed as the Prime Minister of Nepal on July 14 with the support of Nepali Congress.

Prachanda-led government collapsed after he could not secure the vote of confidence in the parliament meeting on July 12.

Only 63 lawmakers including those from CPN (Maoist Center, CPN (Unified Socialist) and Rastriya Swatantra Party voted for Prachanda while 194 lawmakers cast their votes against the vote of confidence.
