Two killed, seven injured in Doti jeep accident

Two people died and seven others sustained injuries when a jeep heading to Dhangadhi from Dharchula met with an accident at Jorayal Rural Municipality-1, Khadina in Doti district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are identified as Dhaula Devi Dhami, 40, of Lekam Rural Municipality-4, Paitoli and three-year-old Ritika Parki of the same ward, according to DSP Bhim Lal Bhattarai of District Police Office, Doti.

 Dhami died on the spot while the minor girl breathed her last in the course of treatment, according to police.

Seven injured are receiving treatment at a local health post.

A total of nine people including the driver were traveling in the ill-fated jeep.
