Former champions India and Ireland are locking their horns in a cricket match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup today.

The match will kick off at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, USA, at 8:15 pm according to the Nepali time.

India, that clinched the title in 2007, has not lifted the trophy since then.

India had secured a spot among the top eight teams in the 2022 T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Ireland had to fight their way through the European Qualifier to clinch their spot in the ICC World Cup.

India appears to hold the upper hand based on its recent encounters with Ireland.

India and Ireland met twice in 2022 and three times in 2023.  Out of five matches held between the two countries, India won four matches while the remaining one match was canceled.

India team:
Rohit Sharma (captain), Hardik Pandya, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj

Ireland team:
