Digital Nepal Conclave 2024 to be held on Friday

The third edition of the Digital Nepal Conclave 2024 is set to be held on Friday (June 7) with the slogan, ‘Harmonizing Digitalization and Development.’

To be organized by the ICT Foundation Nepal in collaboration with various national and international organizations including Ncell, UKAID, and The Asia Foundation, the digital conclave will feature over 50 distinguished and keynote speakers in seven sessions.

The event, to be held at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, will be inaugurated by the honourable Prime Minister Prushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, while the closing power dialogue will feature KP Sharma Oli. Additionally, special sessions will be conducted by the Minister for Communications and the Minister for Finance, ICT Foundation Nepal's chairman, Rajan Lamsal, said. Similarly, the conclave will also provide a platform to showcase new technologies and initiatives for Digital Nepal, with approximately 20 digital initiatives on display.

Over 500 representatives from federal, provincial, and local governments, stakeholders, experts, entrepreneurs, and startups will participate in the digital conclave.

Interested individuals can purchase tickets for participation through the website www.digitalnepalconclave.com. The entire event will also be broadcast live on Kantipur Television, according to a press note issued by the ICT Foundation.

Since the Nepal government launched the Digital Nepal Framework in 2019, ICT Foundation has been conducting various programs across the country to support digital transformation and the development of its ecosystem, according to chairman Lamsal.

Over the past two years, the organizers have conducted Digital Samvad programs in all seven provinces, publishing research-based books on the digital status and capabilities of the provinces.

In association with Ncell and powered by The Asia Foundation, the conclave is being organized with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, E-Governance Commission, Nepal Telecommunications Authority, Nepal Rastra Bank, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries, NAS IT, and CAN Federation, with Nepal Telecom as the liaison partner.

Similarly, technology partners include Smart n Technology, Banking partner Nabil Bank, Digital payment partner eSewa, Internet partner DishHome Fibernet, Training partner Broadway Infosys, Ticketing partner Sasto Tickets, Satellite internet partner Pacific, broadcasting partner Kantipur TV HD, and event management partners Technorio, ISS, and Global Spark.
