Janamat Party has decided to field Satish Kumar Sigh as the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province. A parliamentary party meeting of Janamat Party took a decision to field Singh as the Chief Minister, party secretary BP Sah told Nepalkhabar.
Outgoing Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav was relieved of the post after he failed to secure the vote of confidence on Wednesday.
Madhesh Province Chief Sumitra Bhandari has called on the parties to stake a claim for the post of the Chief Minister with the support of more than one party by Friday 10 am.
“Our party has decided to field Satish Kumar Singh as the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province,” said Sah.
Janamat is laying a claim to the Chief Minister with the support of 56 members of parliament (MPs) including those from CPN (UML), Janamat Party, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, and some other fringe parties.
