Uganda has been all out in a match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup against host West Indies for 39 runs.
In the match held on Sunday morning, West Indies routed Uganda by mammoth 134 runs.
Uganda was all out for 39 runs in 12 overs while it was chasing the 174-run target set by West Indies.
Ugandan Juma Miyagi’s 13 happened to be the top score while the other batsmen could not score double-digit runs.
Captain Brian Masaba, Cosmas Kyewuta and Kenneth Waiswa were out for one run each.
To restrict Uganda to such a low score, Akeal Hosein took the highest five wickets giving away 11 runs followed by Alzarri Joseph with two wickets while Romario Shepherd, Andre Russell and Gudakesh Motie claimed one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the Guyana National Stadium, West Indies notched up 173 runs losing five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Johnson Charles topped the score with 44 runs followed by Andre Russell with 30 not out runs while captain Rovman Powell contributed 23 runs.
On the bowling side, Brian Masaba took two wickets followed by Dinesh Nakrani, Cosmas Kyewuta and Alpesh Ramjani claimed one wicket each.
With this win, West Indies is in second position with four points. Afghanistan is atop the points table. Uganda is in the third place with one win and two loses while PNG and New Zealand are in the fourth and fifth position, respectively.
