Bangladesh has entered the Super Eight by defeating Nepal by 21 runs in the final D group match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Bangladesh restricted Nepal to 85 runs while the latter was chasing the 106-run target.
To restrict Nepal, Tanzim Hasan Sakib took the highest four wickets followed by Mustafizur Rahman with three wickets while Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed took two wickets and one wicket for Bangladesh, respectively.
Nepali batsmen could not notch up significant runs. Kushal Malla took the highest 27 runs followed by Dipendra Singh Airee with 25 runs while Asif Sheikh scored 17 runs. The other batsmen could not score double-digit runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Ornos Vale stadium of St Vincent on Monday, Bangladesh notched up 106 runs losing all wickets in 19.3 overs.
Shakib AI Hasan's 17-run score became the highest for Bangladesh followed by Mahmudullah and Rishad Hossain with 13 runs each while Jake Ali and Taskin Ahmed scored 12 runs each. Similarly, Litton Das scored 10 runs. The other batsmen could not score double-digit runs.
On the bowling side, Sampal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel and Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed two wickets each for Nepal.
South Africa is atop the points table with eight points from Group D, thereby entering the second round of the World Cup. With the win agaist Nepal, Bangladesh also reached the Super Eight with six points.
