As previous year, Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to provide scholarships to students in collaboration with private colleges.

Issuing a notice on Friday, KMC has called for online applications from those willing to pursue their plus 2 studies in private colleges on scholarship quotas.

KMC had provided scholarships to almost 4,000 students in private colleges in the metropolis last year, too.

The private colleges have to allocate 10 percent of scholarship quotas for students as per the Education Rules.

KMC is going to conduct tests to select students on merit basis for scholarship quotas to be provided by private schools.

The students willing to study on scholarship quotas have to apply online by June 29. The bona-fide students can apply on Saturday from 10 am to 11:59 pm, the metropolis has said.

The tests will be conducted on July 19 from 8 am to 10 am.

The metropolis has said that details on scholarship quotas for different schools and the locations of exam centers will be published later.

Meanwhile, KMC has also requested the students willing to study on a scholarship quota not to enroll at colleges until the test result comes out.
